Purpose of this site

A note by the editor - Frank Parlato Jr.

This site is obviously not intended for everyone.
But just as their are women's studies, and sites dedicated to that, and plenty of concern about what women need to flourish, I, too, believe that men, especially young men, are in need of similar studies, and shared observations about what they need to flourish.
I fully realize that there are many men and women who will not agree with either the premise or with many of the opinions of this site. Some may even find it threatening to their own cherished beliefs.
I can only suggest then that in this world, a great quality of manliness is, certainly, tolerance, and an attempt at understanding, even those who at first repulse you.
Indeed as it has been often said, if we sincerely try to understand the cause, we shall be far less likely to be angered by the effect.
So for those who are offended, I can only suggest, shifting quickly to another web site, as there are a plethora of sites dedicated to the exact opposite of what this site intends to stand for.
And, as this site is not intended for women, I don't propose to answer for them, or to them. Am I a woman that I should seek to make a site conform to any feminine standards? This is a site for men.
And for those men who disagree with the whole purpose of this site, I can only say that the voices quoted here were men. And I am a man, and you are a man. Therefore you can think for your self.
You don't have to agree with anything. It is the privilege of a man to think, for himself.
And speak for himself..
I claim a man's privilege to say that yes there is a place for manliness, and that yes it needs to be said sometimes.
And will be said. And I will say it.
For those who cannot abide such things, the world is large, and this is only one small, insignificant web site.
Surely, you can exit it quickly, and find one more to your liking.
Go forward.
